Pastor Jerry Nelson was appointed to serve as Live Oak Baptist Church's Senior Pastor October 2010. Prior to that, he served as Senior Pastor of Bluff Springs Baptist Church in Ashford AL..

He has expressed a burning desire to lead a church like Live Oak Baptist Church where biblical views are embraced and encouraged, with members who care about the needs of those around them and who want to connect others to the body of Christ. Pastoring is his passion. He loves people and loves sharing the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

He graduated from  Baptist College of Florida of Graceville FL in 1988 with a Bachelors in Theology and has a Masters of Art in Theology from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, Lynchburg VA.

Pastor Jerry Nelson has been happily married for over 27 years to his wife, Rhonda Nelson. They have 3 children: Hannah, Sarah and Rachel.

Pastor Logan Nosset was appointed to serve as Live Oak Baptist Church's Youth Pastor May 2022. Prior to that, he served as Pastoral Intern of Brookside Baptist Church in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.

Logan graduated from Clear Creek Baptist Bible College, Pineville, Kentucky in 2021 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Ministry. .

Logan was born and raised in Reynoldsburg, Ohio and has a passion to make a difference for Christ wherever God places him.

James Small began serving as Worship Leader  at Live Oak Baptist Church July 2022. 

He has been happily married for over 3 years to his wife, Katie Small. They have 3 small children: Christopher, Kensley and Harper. 

Eve Flores began serving as the church secretary at Live Oak Baptist Church in 2012, first as a volunteer and then as staff. She also serves as the Nursery Coordinator as well as the LOBC Library Team Lead. Eve grew up in Kaleva MI, is married to Christian Flores and has two beautiful girls Alexis & Alivia. In her free time she enjoys reading, hiking and kayaking.
